About Morris Avenue Publishing
If Morris Avenue Publishing is about anything, it is about the notion of independence and the value of self-determination. It seems true that our muse, our inspiration, and talents belong to each one us individually. So much of what the world requires is stifling to the true making of artistic expression and necessarily compromises the vitality of the creative act. This venture, Morris Avenue Publishing, is one small attempt to allow writing to develop according to the natural unfolding of the creative process. Morris Avenue Publishing fancies itself a "cottage" industry, where the titles are chosen for originality, positive direction, and the advancement of fierce individuality. In keeping with this vein, all of our books are made locally, in small press shops, constructed of the highest quality, and assembled with pride, and the love of a well-made, beautiful product.
